Ironstone English Tree of Life Serving Dish, circa 1850
A square-molded serving dish or dessert plate styled in the highly fashionable "Japan" or "Imari" taste of the time, having the "Japan Stone China" stamp on the underside indicates that it is most likely Minton. circa 1840. The scalloped rim and deep, heavy-set earthenware structure is typical of English "stone China".
