Georgian Period Engraving of a Madagascar Giant Swallowtail

Large early engraving depicting a Pharmacophagus antenor (Madagasgar Giant Swallowtail) which is known for its large size and wingspan.  Drawn and engraved by Frederick Nadder or his son in London between 1789-1813. It was hand coloured at the time with a combination of watercolour and layered gouache, making the colours particularly brilliant.  19th century frame.
