Antique German Map of the Roman Empire from Greece to Eastern India
Hand-coloured map showing the extent of part of the Roman Empire from 3rd-2nd century BC, extending from Greece to the Eastern edge of India. Henrico Kliepert was the geographer who drew this map and is generally considered to be one of the most important scholarly cartographers of the 2nd half of the 19th century. Printed in Berlin and dated 1892. Map in an old frame and surrounded by 19th century marbled paper.
