Shallow coopered wooden tray/bowl constructed from vertical wooden staves held together snugly by horizontal wooden bands wrapped around the circumference, handmade bentwood handles attached with wooden pegs.  A highly versatile domestic tool used in historic Scandinavian farmhouses as harvesting vessel, kneading and proofing bowl for dough etc., circa 1900, Sweden
