17th Century Brass Salver ex-Collection Maurice Collis (1889-1973)
Numbered and described in the collector Maurice Collis' notes as "B.48. Brass salver. The broad lip has a serrated edge and is delicately engraved with designs of flowers, fruit, sprays and birds. The birds are drawn in the manner of the early Ch'ing or late Ming in China. Probably late 17th century from Mergui." Southern Burma, collector's label on bottom
