16th/17th Century Burmese Copper Platte ex-Maurice Collis Collection (1889-1973)

In his notes the collector Morris Collis numbers and describes this piece as "B.50 Copper platter with flat lip.  No decoration except an incised circle at lip and underneath, Tenasserim Valley, 16th/17th century."  Collis was an author, scholar and collector of South East Asian subject matter since his early job as District Magistrate of Rangoon.  Google him for interesting bio
