Dyak Borneo Hunting Figure

Wooden figure carved out of a single dense piece of Ironwood, depicting a hunter with a baby tied onto his back, hands raised to his mouth where a blowdart (known as sumpitan) would have been inserted.  This method was used for hunting gamebirds.  Dyak people, Borneo, old English collection
