Greenland Mid-Century Wooden Face Sculpture

Face carved out of a tree branch retaining its bark, collected by John Newall circa 1960 when he became fascinated by Inuit culture through his work travels.  Possibly carved by Sakaeus Andreassen who carved faces in a similar manner.  Greenland, circa 1960
