Japanese Pilgrim’s Robe

 Cotton coat worn when making a pilgrimage to the temples of Japan.  The number, temple name, and song of each temple have been  pre-printed on the cotton. When the temple is visited the pilgrim has the red seal stamped over the writing.  Post World War Two, Japan
