Mexican Dancing Figure

Dancing figure handmade of wood, cornhusk, yarn and paint.  The front of the headdress fashioned with a Devil’s Claw to represent a bull’s head.  This figure represents one of the characters in the Easter ceremonial parades which take place throughout rural Mexico, circa 1960 or before.  29cm High by 17cm Wide by 18cm Deep
