Oil painting on fine canvas laid down on wood panel depicting St. Nestor the patron saint of wrestlers and athletes.  Signed and dated 1989 in the lower right corner; an important year in Transylvanian history with the overthrow and execution of Ceausescu, marking the end of 42 years of Communist rule in Romania.  Last photo shows a small bit of fine canvas peeled away from wood panel.
