Vintage American Folk Art Bottle Cap Dog

Dog with movable ears made from old painted crown cork bottle caps, a thick wire running through each cap renders the dog adjustable. These caps with a cork seal were invented and patented by William Painter in 1892 in Baltimore. They remained in use into the 1950s
